Renowned painter, sculptor, and designer Per Arnoldi has produced this season's Lyric Opera poster. The graphic is bold, blue, yellow, and red – an interpretation of the Lyric theme: "Long Live Passion:" a flaming red heart is dramatically cut out of the musical score of La bohème!

The Danish-born Arnoldi has designed more than 600 posters over his 50-year career. Among the many institutions to commission his works are Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, American Ballet Theatre and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. He has also created posters for British Airways, British Railways, the World Economic Forum and President Bill Clinton.

Arnoldi's works include posters for jazz greats Duke Ellington, Dizzy Gillespie, Stan Getz, and Oscar Peterson, and he is represented in the Permanent Collections of numerous museums, among them, New York's Museum of Modern Art and Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Paris. Often collaborating with British star architect Norman Foster, Arnoldi has worked on the interior designs and color schemes of The Royal Opera of Denmark, The German Reichstag in Berlin, London's Imperial College, and Commerzbank Frankfurt.

A true Rennaisance man, Arnoldi is also a TV host, and architect.

Printed by Classic Color, it can be ordered online at lyricopera.org/operashop. The cost of the poster is $30.
