This Sunday, May 27 at 2 p.m. marks the last matinee performance for Barrel of Monkeys' "That's Weird, Grandma" at the Neo-Futurarium, 5153 N. Ashland. BOM continues it's open run of "That's Weird, Grandma" on Monday evenings at 8 p.m.

BOM matinee performances of "That's Weird, Grandma" feature all the originality of the evening performances. Some matinee skits will include "Spider Monkey", where a pack of monkeys with spider powers, led by a cool monkey, escapes and has fun on the town, and "Stupid" about how name calling can inspire surprising alliances.

Barrel of Monkeys, a Chicago-based arts education theater ensemble, conducts creative writing workshops with students from underserved Chicago public schools and turns their stories and words into professionally-performed theater, presented both in-school and through a weekly review for the general public called "That's Weird, Grandma". BOM performs more than 300 student-written stories for the students in their schools and 150 stories on the stage of TWG each year.

Tickets for all performances are $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12. For tickets, reservations or information call312-409-1954 or visit www.barrelofmonkeys.org.
