Hershey Area Playhouse Theatre Academy Announces Summer Gardens Camp

Taught by instructors with experience in theatre and education, Hershey Area Playhouse Theatre Academy announces its 2017 Gardens Camp, running the weeks of July 17-21 and July 24-28, 2017.

Through a partnership between The Playhouse and the Hershey Gardens for a fifth summer, students entering grades 4-8 will be able to hone their acting, improvisational and theatrical combat skills over the course of two weeks. Monday camp sessions will be held at The Playhouse while Tuesday through Friday camp sessions will be held at the Hershey Gardens, 170 Hotel Road, Hershey. All sessions are from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. each day.

The camp will culminate with a performance of The Stuff of Legend, an original play written by local playwright, Jennifer Feldser. The play features a cast of classic and popular literary characters in an epic adventure. The performance will be staged at the amphitheater in The Children's Garden at the Hershey Gardens. Friends and family will be invited to attend this lunchtime performance on July 28.

This popular camp has a registration limit and fills rapidly. Interested persons should apply online to reserve a spot.
