The Quest for the Holy Grail Leads to Mac-Haydn Theatre in SPAMALOT

The Mac-Haydn Theatre (MHT), continues its 2017 season with the Monty Python inspired musical Spamalot. Based off the movie "Monty Python and the Holy Grail," the 2005 Tony Award winning musical follows King Arthur and his knights on their quest to find the holy grail. Spamalot is the fourth and final premiere of the MHT 2017 season.

John Anker Bow, making his MHT debut in the role of King Arthur, Madison Stratton (Christine in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels) is the Lady of the Lake, and a MHT favorite in Paul Wyatt (The Baker in Into the Woods in 2016) as the "not so brave" Sir Robin, lead the cast.

Company Member Alex Carr (Joseph in Joseph...Dreamcoat) narrates, and participates in, the quest for the grail as The Historian. MHT favorite, Gabe Belyeu (Lawrence in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and Monty in Saturday Night Fever), is the dashing Sir Galahad.

Finishing off King Arthur's band of knights are Company Members Connor Hubbard as the brave Sir Lancelot, Dakota Dutcher (Evelyn Oakleigh in Anything Goes) as Bedevere, and Ross Flores (Double-J in Saturday Night Fever), is King Arthur's trusty number two, Patsy.

Neal Kowalsky (South Pacific in 2016) directs and Sebastiani Romagnolo (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels) choreographs.

Rounding out the cast is

The Mac-Haydn Theatre (MHT), concludes its 2017 season with the 1964 Tony Award Winner for Best Musical and the 2017 Tony Award Winner of Best Revival of a Musical in Hello, Dolly! The Jerry Herman classic was last seen on the MHT stage in 2009. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!

Starring as the Mrs. Dolly Levi Gallagher is MHT favorite Monica M. Wemitt. Ms. Wemitt was in the 1995 Broadway revival as Ernestina Money and stand-by for Carol Channing's Dolly.

Hello, Dolly marks the return of Rachel Rhodes-Devey to MHT. Born and raised in Albany, NY, Ms. Rhodes-Devey grew up performing on the MHT stage, and was part of the company in 2007. She returns to play Irene Malloy.

Brian D. Wagner (Eli Whitney in Anything Goes) returns as Horace Vandergelder, with Ryan Michael Owens (Jacob & Pharaoh in Joseph...Dreamcoat) and company member Dan Macke (Bobby in Saturday Night Fever) playing Mr. Vandergelder's employees Cornelius Hackl and Barnaby Tucker respectively.

The love-struck Ermengarde and Ambrose Kemper are played by company members Catherine Skojec and Dakota Dutcher (Evelyn Oakleigh in Anything Goes and Sir Bedevere in Spamalot). Meg Dooley (Jack's Mother in Into the Woods) plays Ernestina and Steffany Pratt (company member & dance captain for the season) plays Minnie Fay.

Artistic Director John Saunders (director of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Saturday Night Fever, and Sweeney Todd) directs and Sebastiani Romagnolo (choreographer of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and Spamalot) choreographs.

Rounding out the cast is Victoria Benkoski as Mrs. Rose, Gabe Belyeu as Rudolph Reisenweber, Quinn Corcoran, Stephen C. Kallas, Alex Carr, Connor Hubbard, Atsushi Eda, Ross Flores, Bryce McAllister, Laura Michele Erle, Katie Skawski, Kelly Gabrielle Murphy, Michelle E. Carter, Megan Hasse, and Lauren Wrigley.

The show is under music direction of David Maglione. Kevin Gleason set designs, Bethany Marx costume designs, Megan McQueeney designs the props, and Ethan Carleton sound designs.

Spamalot runs on Mac-Haydn's stage August 10- August 20.
