Two of Adelaide's emerging singers Diana Scalzi and Ben Gatehouse have joined together to debut their sophisti-pop show 'Diamond Lives, Picture Books' - a mixed tape of off-beat eighties classics.

The show (as the title suggests) includes songs from Sade's album 'Diamond Life' through to Simply Red's 'Picture Book'. Other artists featured include The Style Council, Peter Gabriel and Kate Ceberano.

Talented Gatehouse explains "we have chosen songs which are reflective of the time and inspiring." Singer-songwriter Scalzi adds "people often compare my music to Kate Bush. I felt it was time to create a show that featured her songs as well as many forgotten, iconic artists of that period."

Scalzi and Gatehouse will present an organic live music show with a theatrical twist which features local Adelaide band Orelia as a support act.

The Jade Monkey, 142-160 Flinders Street ADELAIDE - 11th & 16th JUNE 2017 7.30PM. For more information: www.cabaretfringefestival.com Tickets on sale for $25 through www.trybooking.com/278672
