Rising-star musical theater writer Adam Gwon will play 54 Below for a one-night-only concert extravaganza on Monday April 8, 2013 at 9:30pm. Heading up a five-piece band, Gwon will premiere brand-new songs and share tunes from his musicals Ordinary Days, Cloudlands, The Boy Detective Fails, and String.

Gwon's concert will include performances by Santino Fontana (Cinderella), Anne L. Nathan (Once), Lindsay Mendez (Dogfight, Godspell), Kate Wetherhead (Ordinary Days, Legally Blonde), Phoebe Strole (Spring Awakening), John Bolton (A Christmas Story), Colin Hanlon (Rent), Alex Wyse (Lysistrata Jones, Bare), Arielle Jacobs (In the Heights), Jill Abramovitz (Cinderella), Jessica Hershberg (Baby It's You), Molly Hager (Fat Camp), Will Reynolds (Passion), Olli Haaskivi, Mallory Hawks and Bonnie Milligan, with additional casting to be announced shortly. The concert is being directed by Drama Desk nominee Ed Iskandar (These Seven Sicknesses) and produced by Katie Riegel.

Upon the announcement of the concert, Gwon said: "It's been two-and-a-half years since my last big concert in NYC, when the Ordinary Days cast album was released. I'm thrilled to be back, and can't think of a better way to celebrate than by stuffing this evening full of the great new friends and music I've made over the past few years. There'll be some old favorite songs and people, too, and, of course, a surprise or two along the way!"
