On yesterday's The View on ABC, Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellan spoke about their two new Broadway plays, No Man's Land and Waiting For Godot. Stewart also chatted about his September marriage to Sunny Ozell with his good friend McKellen as the officiant!

"The View," recipient of the 2003 Daytime Emmy Award for "Outstanding Talk Show," is ABC Daytime's morning chatfest, featuring a team of dynamic women of different ages, experiences and backgrounds discussing the most exciting events of the day. The program has received critical acclaim since premiering August 11, 1997. It's broadcast live weekdays from New York City (11:00 a.m.-12:00 noon, ET; CLOSED-CAPTIONED; broadcast in stereo; TV-14).

"The View" features Barbara Walters, Whoopi Goldberg, Sherri Shepherd and Jenny McCarthy. "The View" consists of hot topics in the news, the best experts in their field, celebrity interviews and general entertainment. The program is now in its 17th season on ABC.

The 2013-2014 season will mark Barbara Walters farewell season on the daytime show she created as she celebrates her final year on broadcast television. Ms. Walters' unparalleled career began in 1961 as a writer and on-the-air reporter for the "Today Show."

"The View" is the recipient of 29 Daytime Emmy Awards, numerous Daytime Emmy Award nominations, including 11 consecutive nominations for Outstanding Talk Show and 13 consecutive nominations for Outstanding Talk Show Host. Daytime Emmy Award history was made on August 30, 2009 inside the historic Orpheum Theater in Los Angeles when on-stage presenters Jeannie Garth and Lori Loughlin announced that "The View" hosts, Barbara Walters, Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Sherri Shepherd, were named Outstanding Talk Show Host. It was the first time in the 36 year history of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) that multiple talk show hosts were bestowed this honor. The winning submission for the hosts, dated March 28, 2008, featured then Democratic Presidential candidate, Senator Barack Obama.
