THE Wendy Williams SHOW premiered its fourth season in national syndication yesterday,  September 10 in high definition. From the first episode, viewers are going to see changes to the show that will make their favorite daytime star even more must-see than ever before.

Audiences will notice straightaway that things are different this season when they see Wendy step onstage to vibrant set enhancements. Incorporating Wendy’s signature colors, pink and purple and lots of glitz and glamour, Wendy’s modernized set will serve as a fitting backdrop to the larger-than-life sense of fun and the energetic personality that she brings to daytime TV.

Wendy is slated for several upcoming national television appearances. Catch her on “Conan” and “Dr. Drew” August 27, “Fashion Police” August 31 and co-hosting “E! News” September 14.

“It’s season four and ‘The Wendy Williams Show’ feels more energetic than ever,” said Debmar-Mercury Co-Presidents Mort Marcus and Ira Bernstein. “Audiences can sense that Wendy’s having fun; and viewers and affiliates are responding to that enthusiasm.”

“I am so excited to be in this beautiful new studio and doing what I love,” said Williams. “There have been so many hot topics this summer and I can’t wait to talk about them with my audience.”

The daytime talker has received market upgrades in San Francisco, Miami, Denver, Kansas City, Fresno and Greenville, SC/Asheville, NC.

The show welcomes two new staff members. Stephanie Sacco and Anthony Lopez have been hired as Talent Producers. Sacco will head up the department, overseeing all celebrity bookings with a focus on film and television guests. Lopez will handle music, celebrity author, comedy and Broadway bookings. Sacco is credited with more than 11 years of entertainment experience. Most recently she served as Head of Talent and Entertainment Relations for Cambio/AOL. Prior to that, she freelanced for seven years, including work for “American Idol,” “Fashion Rocks” and DirecTV. She has also worked for United Stations Radio Networks, Sirius and Virgin Records. Lopez leaves a nine-year stint as SiriusXM’s Founder and Director of Talent & Industry Relations, where he secured talent for music, talk and sports platforms, to reunite with Sacco. Emmy award-winning producer David Perler returns as Executive Producer. Sacco and Lopez report to Perler.

About Wendy Williams

Mother, wife and best-selling author Wendy Williams burst onto the talk show scene in July 2009 with the launch of the nationally-syndicated weekday program, "The Wendy Williams Show." Called a “breakthrough in daytime” by The New York Times, “The Wendy Williams Show,” which airs in 52 countries, on BET at midnight, and is now in its fourth season, has just been renewed on Fox through 2014.

“The Wendy Williams Show” is the provocative, must-see talk show in daytime. Taped live in New York, viewers delight over Williams' distinctive and entertaining personality, as well as a diverse mix of interviews with celebrity guests from television, film, music and sports. Popular segments include “Ask Wendy,” during which she offers real advice to audience members looking for solutions to problems, and “Hot Topics,” in which she delivers her own unpredictable, honest, authentic and opinionated take on the juiciest headlines.

“The Wendy Williams Show” is a reflection of its star and host; the vibrant colors and upbeat soundtrack matches Williams’ own personality and energetic sense of humor, and the show’s focus on entertainment and pop culture reflects Williams’ passion for those topics. Hailed by the New York Post as “daytime TV’s favorite guilty pleasure,” Williams interviews countless A-list celebrity guests from the perspective of a fan, as she asks the questions that her audience wants to hear. A lover of classic television, Williams’ TV idols growing up were Dinah Shore and Merv Griffin.

Prior to achieving success in daytime television, Williams built a devoted audience of fans throughout an enormously successful 23-year career in radio. “The Wendy Williams Experience” was Williams’ top-rated, daily radio show. Syndicated nationally, it aired on WBLS in New York and was listened to by an audience of more than 12 million people. One of the most popular personalities in radio, Williams was inducted into the National Radio Hall of Fame in November of 2009—one of only a handful of women with that honor.

Williams competed on Season 12 of ABC’s smash hit dancing competition “Dancing With The Stars,” has hosted Game Show Network’s original series “Love Triangle,” and appeared as a featured guest on ABC’s “One Life to Live” and Lifetime’s “Drop Dead Diva.” Williams was named to Hollywood Reporter’s prestigious “35 Most Powerful People in Media” list April 2012. The same month, she also made her major motion picture debut in StEve Harvey’s release of “Think Like A Man.” Williams will begin producing for television and film via the recently announced Production Company, Wendy Williams Presents. One of the company’s first ventures is a partnership with VH-1 that will adapt the story of Star Jones’ book Satan Sisters.

Williams is the author of The New York Times best seller The Wendy Williams Experience (Dutton Books), as well as several novels including Ritz Harper Goes to Hollywood. She contributes a regular celebrity hot topics column to the entertainment magazine Life & Style Weekly.

Williams earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications with a minor degree in Journalism at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. Both of her parents were university professors and Williams remains an advocate for education at all levels. Williams credits the start of her career with her decision to take an internship at a radio station on St. Croix, Virgin Islands immediately following her graduation from college.

Williams grew up in Ocean Township, New Jersey and currently lives in Northern New Jersey with her husband Kevin and their 11 year-old son Kevin, Jr.
