According to Deadline, WEtv has cancelled its first scripted seires THE DIVIDE after a single season.

T"We are extremely proud of The Divide and grateful to its brilliant creators, Richard LaGravenese and Tony Goldwyn, and an amazing cast and crew, for bringing this story to life as WE tv's first scripted series," the network said.

Co-created by Richard LaGravenese and Tony Goldwyn and produced by AMC Studios, "The Divide" is a thought-provoking and suspenseful drama that explores the personal cost of morality, ambition, ethics, politics, and race in today's justice system through the eyes of Christine Rosa played by Marin Ireland ("Homeland," "Boss," "Side Effects"), an impassioned caseworker with The Innocence Initiative, and Adam Page played by Damon Gupton ("The Newsroom," "Prime Suspect"), an equally passionate district attorney and political rising star.

WE tv's popular slate of fresh and modern unscripted original series includes the hit shows Braxton Family Values,Mary Mary and Marriage Boot Camp, among many others. We tv will debut its first scripted series, The Divide, from Richard LaGravenese and Tony Goldwyn, this July. Audiences connect to We tv online at WEtv.com, on demand and in social media.
