The Tribune Broadcasting station group will launch "Crime Watch Daily," the new one hour, first of its kind daily program, that covers all the different aspects of the world of crime, mystery and intrigue like no show on television today, in Fall 2015.

"There is a terrific opportunity in early FRINGE leading into local news as well as in daytime to capture an audience who are longing for distinctive, addictive and real life storytelling," said Ken Werner, President, Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution. "As we've seen on cable and in other dayparts, audiences have an insatiable appetite for real life investigations and crime stories, which by their nature are filled with mystery, intrigue and human drama. We believe both affiliate and independent stations will embrace this unique opportunity."

"Crime Watch Daily is a program that will be a strong compliment across a variety of dayparts and we believe it will work as a news adjacent program or in Tribune Broadcasting's daytime," said Sean Compton, President of Strategic Programming and Acquisitions, Tribune Media.

"Crime Watch Daily" will debut on the Tribune-owned stations reaching 42% of the country including in:

New York (WPIX), Los Angeles (KTLA), Chicago (WGN), Philadelphia (WPHL), Dallas (KDAF), Washington, DC (WDCW), Houston (KIAH), Seattle (KCPQ/KZJO), Miami (WSFL), Denver (KWGN/KDVR), Cleveland (WJW), Sacramento (KTXL), St. Louis (KPLR/KTVI), Portland OR (KRCW), Indianapolis (WTTV/WXIN), San Diego (KSWB), Hartford (WCCT/WTIC), Kansas City (WDAF), Salt Lake City (KSTU), Milwaukee (WITI), Grand Rapids (WXMI), Oklahoma City (KAUT/KFOR), Harrisburg (WPMT), Norfolk (WTKR/WGNT), Greensboro (WGHP), New Orleans (WGNO/WNOL), Wilkes Barre (WNEP), Des Moines (WHO) and Ft. Smith (KFSM/KXNW).

"Crime Watch Daily" was created by Lisa Gregorisch-Dempsey, who will serve as an executive producer of the program. Jeremy Spiegel and Scott Eldridge will also serve as executive producers.

The "Crime Watch Daily" team of experienced reporters go across the USA into big cities and small towns to uncover the local stories you haven't heard and turn them into national headlines. "Crime Watch Daily" gives viewers the story behind the story ---- unique angles, in-depth interviews ---- following the stories to completion. The show exposes and confronts "the bad guys," blows the lid off scandals and seeks justice for victims. "Crime Watch Daily's" network of stations will serve as an "extended newsroom," sharing resources and using local reporters to cover the stories in local markets all over the country.

From unsolved murder stories, videos highlighting the most incredible caught-on-camera crimes and courtroom dramas, to daily stings, and spotlights on missing persons and undercover investigations, "Crime Watch Daily" will cover the world of crime mystery and intrigue like no show on television today.

"Crime Watch Daily" will originate from Los Angeles, CA, produced by Telepictures Productions and distributed by Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution.
