Viewership Up for ESPN's Coverage of NCAA Women's Basketball Championship

ESPN and ESPN2's coverage of the NCAA Division Women's Basketball Championship presented by Capital One first and second rounds - which aired in regionalized and national telecast windows beginning Friday, March 18 through Monday, March 21 - averaged 343,000 viewers, up 46 percent from a year ago (235,000 viewers). The number also marks the highest early-round viewership number since 2013, when the networks average 398,000 viewers.

Hartford was the highest-rated market across the weekend games, with a 2.0 average rating. Rounding out the top markets were Louisville (1.0), Knoxville (0.8), Oklahoma City (0.6), Baltimore (0.5), Dayton (0.5), Tulsa (0.5), NASHVILLE (0.4), Columbus (0.4), Austin (0.4), Birmingham (0.4) and West Palm Beach (0.4).

Game action continues Friday, March 25, across ESPN, ESPN2 and WatchESPN with all four top seeds advancing to Regional rounds.
