On last night's episode of THE COLBERT REPORT, Academy Award-winning director Kathryn Bigelow stopped by to talk about her latest film, ZERO DARK THIRTY. Check out her interview with host Stephen Colbert below!

The film follows the decade-long manhunt for Osama bin Laden, depicts American government officials commiting acts of torture, and was recently nominated for five Academy Awards, including 'Best Picture' and its starJessica Chastain for 'Best Actress.'

Directed and co-produced by Bigelow with a screenplay by Mark Boal, both associated with The Hurt Locker, also features Chris Pratt, James Gandolfini, Joel Edgerton, EdgaR Ramirez, and Mark Strong.

Zero Dark Thirty is now in theaters everywhere.

Stephen Colbert is the host, writer and executive producer of the Emmy and Peabody Award-winning series "The Colbert Report" onComedy Central as well as an accomplished author and actor. Recently, Colbert starred as Harry in theNew York Philharmonic presentation of Stephen Sondheim's "Company" along with Jon Cryer, Neil Patrick Harris, Christina Hendricks, Patti LuPone and Martha Plimpton, among others. The performances were held at Avery Fisher Hall in New York City from April 7-9, 2011.
