The cast of ABC's 1970's series THE LOVE BOAT reunited to celebrate Princess Cruises' 50th anniversary. by christening a new ship. Check out the reunion below courtesy of ET!

The original six cast members, Gavin MacLeod (Captain Stubing), Fred Grandy (Gopher, the chief purser), Ted Lange (Isaac, the bartender), Bernie Kopell (Doc, the ship's doctor), Lauren Tewes (cruise director Julie) and Jill Whelan (Vicki, the captain's daughter) along with frequent guest stars Florence Henderson, Doris Roberts and Loni Anderson had the honor of christening the new ship. The event was hosted by Tori Spelling, daughter of series creator Aaron Spelling.

Says Kopell of the series "It was a world of Academy Award winners. We had Shirley Jones, Helen Hayes ... Tom Hanks' opening line was, 'Hey Gopher!'"

THE LOVE BOAT, which premiered on ABC in September of 1977, was set on a cruise ship. It had its final voyage on February 27, 1987.

The show centered around the ship's captain and its crew, with several passengers, played by different guest actors for each episode, having romantic and humorous adventures.
