Producer Brad Pitt and director Steve McQueen spoke on behalf of the cast and crew of 12 Years a Slave as the film won the 2014 Best Picture Academy Award. McQueen ended the speech with a poignant dedication to all those who endured, and still are enduring, the horrors living in slavery.
