After 12 seasons of the show's history, Project Runway has its first African American winner. Dom Streater (from Philadelphia, PA) won the honor in last night's finale episode. The show, famous for its tight deadlines and seemingly impossible challenges, has been a hit with fans since the beginning of the series, with no end in sight. Check out Streater's reaction following the finale below!

Streater took home the coveted half-million dollar prize, as well as a few hugs from Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn. In the interview she claims she "came into this knowing that there was a possibility of winning, but it started with sixteen of us, and the challenges were hard, and there were times where I was like 'I don't know if I can do this.'"

Streater previously applied for seasons 10 and 11 of the series, but never ultimately made it to casting. By winning, she can now expand her free-lance line, Halcyon.
