According to Deadline, stage vet Rita Moreno has signed on for CBS's comedy pilot JOE TIME, starring Steven Weber.

Directed by James Burrows, JOE TIME follows "Joe (Weber), a family man who struggles with the fact that everyone around him is pursuing their dreams and enjoying their lives more than he is. He's starting to wonder if he'll ever be able to follow his own desires, whatever that may be."

Moreno will play 'Judy', Joe's mom, who is "in love with her husband Mitch, and also preoccupied with physical fitness and her amazing personal trainer."

Also new to the cast are Alli Kinzel as 'Lucy', Joe's oldest daughter "who works with him in the family construction business, and Noland Ammon as 'Andrew', Joe's son and youngest child, described as "a piano player who thinks it's cool to accompany his grandfather during his cabaret performance." Duane Martin and Eric Petersen also appear.

Moreno is one of the world's few EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony) winners. She has appeared on Broadway in THE ODD COUPLE, WALLY'S CAFE, THE RITZ (for which she won her Tony in 1975), THE NATIONAL HEALTH, GANTRY, LAST OF THE RED HOT LOVERS, THE SIGN IN SIDNEY BRUSTEIN'S WINDOW and SKYDRIFT. She recently appeared on the big screen in SIX DANCE LESSONS IN SIX WEEKS. Among her TV credits are HAPPILY DIVORCED, CANE, THE GUARDIAN, OZ and more. Moreno is also well known for her portrayal of 'Anita' in the WEST SIDE STORY film.
