'The Nanny' Star & Broadway Veteran Ann Morgan Guilbert Dies at 87

ET reports that Ann Morgan Guilbert, perhaps best known for her role as 'Grandma Yetta Rosenberg' on ABC's THE NANNY, died of cancer on Tuesday, June 14th in Los Angeles, California at the age of 87.

Guilbert portrayed Millie Helper in 61 episodes of the early 1960s sitcom The Dick Van Dyke Show. More recently, she appeared as a guest star in such TV shows as Life in Pieces, Getting On and Grey's Anatomy.

Her feature film credits included A Guide for the Married Man, Viva Max!, Grumpier Old Men (as the mother of Sophia Loren's character), and Please Give, for which she received the CFA for Best Supporting Actress.

In 2005, the actress appeared in Broadway's A NAKED GIRL ON THE APPIAN WAY. Her other theater credits include THE MATCHMAKER, ARSENIC AND OLD LACE, WAITING FOR GODOT, HARVEY and TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD.
