Telemundo Media, the largest producer of Spanish-language prime time content for audiences in the U.S. and around the world, was honored for its hit digital series "Mia Mundo" and "Secreteando" at the IAB MIXX Awards on Tuesday, September 24 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in New York. "Mia Mundo" was awarded silver and "Secreteando" was awarded bronze in the Multicultural category, recognizing a campaign or individual execution targeted toward a specific segment of the population based on cultural demographics such as language, heritage, or community.

"Mia Mundo's" branded content, which has drawn more than 199 million impressions across TV and digital platforms, increased advertisers' brand likability and awareness and exposed viewers to advertisers' branding, products and messaging in episodes, extended scenes, exclusive videos, photos and media campaigns. The original, dramatic short-form webisodes about Mia, an online entertainment editor and her quest to find balance in life and love, starred Jacqueline Marquez and Ximena Duque alongside Bravo Media star Jenni Pulos ("Flipping Out" and "Interior Therapy").

"Secreteando" follows the drama and jealousy taking place daily at MUS, a record label office where all the main characters are Executive Assistants. When the head of the music label is fired, everyone vies to become the Executive Assistant to the new "mystery boss." "Secreteando's" interactive audience was given the power to vote to determine which character landed the position. The unprecedented online novela was the first drama series directed to Hispanics where viewers were active participants in the storyline through social media platforms such as Google+, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram.

"With these two innovative series, Telemundo set out to reach audiences through compelling storytelling that authentically integrated our advertisers' products and encouraged digital and social interaction about the series and their characters," said Jacqueline Hernández, Chief Operating Officer, Telemundo Media. "We are very proud that these ground-breaking branded entertainment programs have been recognized with this prestigious honor."

The IAB MIXX Awards elevates interactive advertising by celebrating the world's most creative and high-impact digital executions. Recognized as the benchmark for best-in-class campaigns and embodying leading-edge innovation, IAB MIXX Award-winning work inspires and educates the marketplace about the power to build brands digitally.
