Telemundo Studios announced today the kick-off of its new original production "Bajo El Mismo Cielo," starring Gabriel Porras, Maria Elisa Camargo, Luis Ernesto Franco and Julio Bracho. Created by Perla Farias ("Dónde Está Elisa?", "Flor Salvaje") and written by Jose Vicente Spataro, "Bajo El Mismo Cielo," narrates the moving story about survival that mirrors the current reality of thousands of immigrants living in the United States.

"Bajo El Mismo Cielo" marks another role for the multifaceted Mexican actor Gabriel Porras, who will give life to Carlos Martinez, a father in search of a better future for his children, and will experience the same difficulties that many immigrants currently face in search of the American dream. In the midst of his struggle for survival, he finds love in an unexpected way.

For Maria Elisa Camargo this is her second lead role and project with Telemundo after starring in the hit telenovela "En Otra Piel." The ensemble cast includes Luis Ernesto Franco, Julio Bracho, Erika De La Rosa, Liz Gallardo, Alejandro Speitzer, Mercedes Molto, Kendra Santacruz, Oka Guiner, Fernando Noriega, Rosalinda Rodriguez, Ximena Ayala, Kevin Aponte, Andrés Zúñiga, Raúl Arrieta, Keller Worthman, Freddy Flores, Ahrid Hannaley and Alma Itzel among others, who will give life to the characters in this touching story.

Inspired by the screenplay "A Better Life" created by Roger L. Simon, this new production is under the supervision of Executive Producer Martha Godoy ("El Señor de los Cielos").
