FARM STORY, a 60-minute television pilot, written and produced by Terri Viani, and directed and produced by Jessica Ammirati, will premiere at the Sheen Center in New York City on May 2, 2015.

FARM STORY is an independent television drama pilot, shot in NYC and Staunton, Va., in September 2014, and produced by Going to Tahiti Productions and The Writer, Ink. The micro-budget co-production aims to champion women-driven stories that reflect the rich and textured female experience.

FARM STORY chronicles the journey of an emotionally moth-eaten forty-something NYC writer (Sam), her unemployed husband (Andy), and his disabled brother (Kyle) who flee the city for supposedly greener pastures in "fairy-tale" Station Stop, Virginia, only to find themselves accidentally living on an old farm in the sticks of Virginia, in a town called Chicken.

Viani calls FARM STORY a "quirky, forty-something, coming-of-age tale" and loosely-based the script on the last tumultuous twelve years of her life when she went from being a NYC-based writer to living on a backyard farm in the rural "Quiet Corner" of Connecticut. "In a matter of a few years, I went from living in NYC to living in a tiny town with a chicken coop in the backyard," she says. "The show is about moving with flawed grace and gritted teeth into that mid-life space where we all assumed we'd finally have our lives figured out, only we got there and realized we don't and probably never will, and now the thing to figure out is how to be okay with that."

The screening will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at The Sheen Center, in the Loreto Theatre, located at 18 Bleecker Street, NY 10012. The presentation screening will begin promptly at 7:30pm.

Attendees will include executives from HBO, Netflix, NBC Universal, and Starz.
