THE PRICE IS RIGHT Celebrates Milestone 8,000th Episode Today

Daytime Emmy Award-winning game show THE PRICE IS RIGHT, daytime's #1-rated series and the longest-running game show in television history, celebrates its milestone 8,000th episode, today, April 7 (11:00 AM-12:00 Noon, ET; 10:00-11:00 AM, PT) on the CBS Television Network.

In the special occasion's honor, THE PRICE IS RIGHT is looking back at the most memorable moments and games from its past 42 seasons. Contestants will have the opportunity to play pricing games that were featured in the 1,000th, 2,000th, 3,000th, 4,000th, 5,000th and 7,500th episodes, including the fan favorite Plinko, which celebrated its 30th anniversary last fall. In addition, prizes up for grabs include new cars and trips to Thailand and Hawaii.

In 8,000 episodes throughout 42 seasons, THE PRICE IS RIGHT has:

Invited nearly 70,000 people to "come on down."
Had 2.4 million fans sit in the audience.
Given away more than a quarter of a billion dollars in cash and prizes.
