The Associated Press writes that comedy actor Rick Ducommun died June 12, 2015 in Vancouver, British Columbia, due to complications of diabetes. He was 62.

A comedian, writer and actor, Ducommun kicked off his career in the '80s with the kids' TV series ZIG ZAG.

He went on to appear on TV in SLICKERS, AMAZING STORIES, ROCK 'N' AMERICA, THE LAST PRECINCT, and more.

Among his film roles were 'Art Weingartner' in THE 'BURBS, 'Gus' in GROUNDHOG DAY, and a prison guard in SPACEBALLS, as well as parts in LITTLE MONSTERS, BLANK CHECK, DIE HARD, THE EXPERTS, THE HUNT FOR RED OCTOBER, ENCINO MAN, SCARY MOVIE and many other movies.
