MTV reports that sad news that Diem Brown, who starred on MTV's REAL WORLD/ROAD RULES CHALLENGE, has died at the age of 32 after a battle with cancer.

The young reality star was diagnosed with ovarian cancer 3 weeks before she first appeared on the MTV series in 2006. According to the report, she was surrounded by family this week in a New York hospital as her health quickly deteriorated.

In August, Diem had collapsed on set during production of "The Challenge". It was later revealed that she had been diagnosed with stomach and colon cancer which eventually spread to her liver and lymph nodes. During her illness, she founded MedGift, a support registry for other fighting illness.

During a memorable moment of the series, she removed her wig to reveal that she had lost her hair following chemotherapy treatments.
