Deadline reports that Samuel L. Jackson will replace Jamie Foxx in Screen Gems' upcoming THE BLACK PHANTOM. Kevin Hart will also star in the action film to be helmed by Tim Story.

Written by Megan Hinds and Dave Lease, the film follows a double-crossed mob hitman who must look to an unlikely source for help, the man who was hired to kill him.

Jackson was most recently seen on the big screen in Reasonable Doubt, alongside Dominic Cooper and in RoboCop. He also reprised his role as Marvell's Nick Fury in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

Will Gluck and Will Packer will produce The Black Phantom with Clint Culpepper overseeing for Screen Gems.
