TMZ reports that actor Danny Murphy, best known for his appearance in the hit Farrelly film, "There's Something About Mary", has died of cancer at the age of 59. The actor's agent, Cynthia Kazarian confirmed the news that he passed away in Florida.

Throughout his career, Murphy made hilarious cameos in many of the Farrelly brothers' films and was a childhood friend of Peter Farrelly. He became a quadriplegic at the age of 19 in a diving accident and only began his acting career at the age of 40 when he was cast in the film "Kingpin".

He was a strong activist for disabled actors, and launched his own theater company, Blue Zone Productions, in 2008 to aid and support performers with disabilities.
