Regarding this morning's Nielsens, note that the fast-affiliate ratings that came in at 11 a.m. ET/8 a.m. PT are not time zone-adjusted and are subject to upward revision for live sports coverage, nor do they include NFL Network viewers that will be counted in NBC averages for the "Thursday Night Football" game in official-national ratings.

In these preliminary results, NBC ranks #1 for the night among ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX in adults 18-49, total viewers and nearly all other key measures in the fast-affiliate ratings, even prior to time-zone adjustment and the addition of NFL Network viewers.

In time zone-adjusted metered-market household results, the "Thursday Night Football" game featuring the Los Angeles Rams at the Seattle Seahawks, carried on NBC and the NFL Network, averaged a combined 10.1 rating, 17 share in households from 8:30-11:30 p.m. ET in the 56 markets metered by Nielsen Media Research (not including digital data). Coverage of the Seahawks' 24-3 win over the Rams easily won the night in both metered-market households and adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with Local People Meters.

Top markets for Rams-Seahawks on NBC / NFLN: Seattle 40.6/66; Portland 19.5/29; Richmond 14.0/22; New Orleans 13.4/20; Norfolk 13.1/21; Las Vegas 12.6/21; Denver 12.4/23; Albuquerque 12.0/19; Phoenix 11.7/20; and Buffalo 11.7/18.

In Late-Night Metered Markets Thursday Night: In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," a 2.2 rating, delayed by an NFL overrun; "Late Show with Stephen Colbert," 2.3/6; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.9/5.

In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.9, delayed by an NFL overrun; "Late Show," 0.5/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.6/3.

From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," a 1.3 rating in metered-market households, delayed by an NFL overrun; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.1/4. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.5 in 18-49, delayed by an NFL overrun; "Late Late Show," 0.3/2.

At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly," delayed by an NFL overrun, averaged a 0.8 rating in metered-market households and a 0.3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
