THE AIRPORT RUN, the new feature film by acclaimed filmmaker and former NYC cop Eliana Ujueta, just launched an Indiegogo campaign to raise funds. Scroll down for a behind-the-scenes look at the filming!

The bible's prophet, Elijah, was tested many times by dark forces. In THE AIRPORT RUN, Elijah is a first-time offender newly released from prison. But his tests have only just begun. A chance to make some easy money comes his way but it involves going back to his old ways. Will he become involved in a sinister burglary scheme or will his instincts be his salvation?

Ms. Ujueta, a former NYC police officer, continues her cinematic narrative depicting some of the adventures she had from her days as one of New York's Finest. Eliana Ujueta is a native New Yorker, born and raised in the Bushwick section of Brooklyn. She graduated from Brooklyn College in 2007, as a film studies major. Before then she was a New York City Police Officer in the east village. She has always had a love of film so she decided to take film as an elective. From there began her passion to create movies that were both entertaining and would present a variety ways of seeing the world. In 2008, she began at the School of Visual Arts as an M.F.A. candidate. Focusing on the video track, she was inspired by her thesis advisor to direct her first feature, Beneath the Rock, which she wrote and produced.

The Jerome Foundation film grantee is currently securing funding via Indiegogo. Visit the campaign here.
