According to The Hollywood Reporter, AMERICAN IDOL champ Phillip Phillips will make his second appearance at a WORLD SERIES game when he performs the National Anthem at Game 2 Wednesday night. The 'Home' singer last performed the song in 2012 when the San Francisco Giants went up against the Detroit Tigers.

Phillips turned to Twitter to announce the news, posting: "I'll be performing the National Anthem before Game 2 of the #WorldSeries! Tune in to @FoxTV on Wednesday, October 22nd at 8pm ET to watch."

Country music star Trisha Yearwood is set to perform the patriotic tune tonight before Game 1. Carlos Santana will perform for Saturday's Game 4 while Little Big Town will also show off their vocal chops on Friday, according to a FOX spokesperson.

This year's series features the San Francisco Giants against the Kansas City Royals. The games will be broadcast on FOX at 8/7c.
