This fall HBO Europe launches a full season of locally produced original series with the Stepan Hulik scripted Pustina (Wasteland) in the Czech Republic; crime thriller Valea Muta (Silent Valley) in Romania; and second seasons of Aranyelet (Golden Life) in Hungary and Pakt (The Pact) in Poland.

Each series is produced for the local audience, but will also be aired in all fourteen HBO Europe markets in Central and Eastern Europe and released on HBO Europe's OTT service HBO Nordic in Scandinavia.

Antony Root, EVP of Original Programming and Production for HBO Europe, said:
"We are immensely proud of this season's drama series that demonstrate our ambition and range. Pustina, a dark and brooding limited series, has already received critical acclaim at festivals in Europe and North America; Valea Muta, based on the Norwegian show Eyewitness, has great promise, with an unusual and controversial storyline; the first seasons of Aranyelet and Pakt were outstandingly successful in their markets and we are sure the second seasons will have their own unique audience appeal. With these four productions we believe we have reached a new level of drama production for our HBO Europe subscribers. We look forward to expanding our portfolio still further with the development of original programming for HBO Nordic."

Each new series will be available at MIPCOM. DRG distributes Aranyelet, Pakt and Valea Muta; Beta Film is the distributor for Pustina.
