Mark your calendars -- PITCH PERFECT 3 will officially hit theaters in Summer 2017! The movie's official Twitter account announced the good news today:

Anna Kendrick, who starred as 'Beca Mitchell' in the first two films, and co-star Rebel Wilson, who played 'Fat Amy', will reprise their roles for the next installment following sassy female a cappella group, the Barden Bellas. Brittany Snow is also on board for part three.

PITCH PERFECT 2 featured an ensemble cast including Kendrick, Wilson, Snow, Hailee Steinfeld, Alexis Knapp, Hana Mae Lee, Ester Dean, Chrissie Fit, Kelley Jakle, and Shelley Regner.

Elizabeth Banks, who also appears in the movies, helmed PITCH PERFECT 2, which has grossed over $282 million since its opening earlier this spring, with $115.4 million worldwide, making it the highest-grossing musical comedy film, overtaking SCHOOL OF ROCK. The first PITCH PERFECT film debuted in 2012 and took in $113 million, which puts it at No. 3 in the rankings.

The sequel was produced and directed by Banks and written by Kay Cannon, loosely based (like the first film) on Mickey Rapkin's non-fiction book, Pitch Perfect: The Quest for Collegiate A Cappella Glory.

Kendrick is known for her roles in the films PITCH PERFECT, THE COMPANY YOU KEEP, KEND OF WATCH, THE TWILIGHT SAGA, SCOTT PILGRIM SAVES THE WORLD, PARANORMAN and 50/50. In 2010, Kendrick starred opposite George Clooney and Jason Bateman in the film UP IN THE AIR, which earned her a Best Supporting Actress Oscar nomination. The actress was recently seen as 'Cinderella' in the big-screen adaptation of Stephen Sondheim's INTO THE WOODS and just announced she'll be writing a collection of funny essays for Touchstone.

An accomplished theatre vet, Kendrick made her Broadway debut in the 1997 production of HIGH SOCIETY, for which she received a Tony Award nomination. Kendrick's additional theater work includes A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC, MY FAVORITE BROADWAY/THE LEADING LADIES: LIVE AT CARNEGIE HALL and Broadway workshops of JANE EYRE and THE LITTLE PRINCESS.
