OWN Delivers Double-Digit Growth in Key Demo & Total Viewers

OWN: OPRAH WINFREY NETWORK finishes out the month of August with double-digit growth among its key W25-54 demo (0.37 W25-54, up +54% vs. YAGO), making it the third fastest-growing Top 25 ad-supported cable network among W25-54. Additionally, the network grew double-digits in total viewers (up +39% vs. YAGO). Year-to-date, OWN is pacing to have its fourth consecutive year of double-digit growth in Prime among total viewers.

Throughout the month of August, OWN was Tuesday night's #1 cable network among W25-54 and W18-49 and the night's #1 network on all of TV among African-American women and total viewers. This was bolstered by the hit drama series "The Haves and the Have Nots" from Tyler Perry, which consistently delivered over 3 million total viewers each week. Additionally, the series ranked as Primetime's #1 original series on all of TV among African-American women and total viewers and Tuesday night's #1 original cable series among W25-54.

On Saturday nights, OWN ranked as the night's #1 ad-supported cable network among African-American W25-54. Saturday nights featured the top 2 original series on ad-supported cable among African-American women and total viewers: "Livin' Lozada" and "Flex & Shanice."

The season finales of both "Livin' Lozada" and "Flex & Shanice" set ratings records for the night of 8/29/15, earning OWN the #1 spot on all of TV among African-American W25-54. At 9 p.m., "Livin' Lozada," which follows Evelyn Lozada ("Basketball Wives") and her family, delivered series-high ratings across all key demos with a 0.86 W25-54 rating and 619,000 total viewers. The episode ranked as Saturday night's #1 telecast on all of TV among African-American W25-54. Immediately following at 10 p.m., the season two finale of "Flex & Shanice," following the lives of husband and wife duo, actor Flex Alexander ("One on One") and pop singer Shanice ("I Love Your Smile") and their extended family, earned a 0.89 W25-54 rating and 641,000 total viewers, becoming the highest-rated unscripted season finale in OWN history among W25-54. Additionally, the episode delivered series-high ratings among W25-54 and W18-49 and ranked #1 in the time period on all of TV among African-American women.
