"The Voice" (3.6/10 in 18-49, 12.1 million viewers overall from 8-10 p.m. ET) ranked as the #1 show of the night on the Big 4 in every key demographic - adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54.

"The Voice" grew week to week by +9% in 18-49 versus last week's 3.3 in these preliminary fast-national ratings and +6% versus last week's 3.4 in official nationals. In total viewers, "The Voice" is up +2% versus last week's official-national result (12.098 million vs. 11.899 million)

Versus the comparable telecast in the spring, this week's "Voice" is up +6% in 18-49 rating (3.6 vs. 3.4 for the Monday playoff-round episode on April 14) and up +2% in total viewers (12.098 million vs. 11.849 million)


"The Blacklist" (2.6/7 in 18-49, 9.8 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) ranked as the #2 show of the night on the Big 4 in adults 18-49, behind only "The Voice," with a week-to-week gain of +8% in adults 18-49 (2.6 vs. 2.4). In total viewers, "Blacklist" is at a three-week high, up +5% week to week (9.812 million vs. 9.338 million), for its most-watched episode since Oct. 6.

"The Blacklist" finished #1 in the time period among ABC, CBS and NBC in every key measure, including total viewers, despite ABC's NFL preemption in the Dallas market. Pending updates, "The Blacklist" led THE HOUR among those networks in adults 18-49 by a +37% margin over ABC's "Castle" (with a 2.6 vs. a 1.9) and by +63% versus CBS's "NCIS: LA" (2.6 vs. 1.6).

L+7: "The Blacklist" has been jumping in L+7 by an average of +68% in 18-49 rating (from a 2.96 to a 4.98) and 6.4 million viewers (11.1 million vs. 17.5 million) going from L+SD to L+7.

L+3: Last week's "Blacklist" grew by a season-high +65% in 18-49 (from a 2.45 to a 4.05 rating) and more than 4.6 million viewers overall (from 9.3 million to 14.0 million) going from L+SD to L+3. Last week's "Blacklist" was the #1 drama of the night in L+3 18-49 rating (4.05), while also #1 in ratings lift going from L+SD to L+3 (+1.60) and percentage lift (+65%).

In Late-Night Metered Markets Monday night:

In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.7/7; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.0/5; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.3/6.

In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.0/4; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.7/3.

From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.3/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.3/4 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.0/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/4 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).

At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


For the Week:

NBC's "Sunday Night Football" has delivered the #1 primetime rating on the Big 4 networks for the week of Oct. 20-26 in adults 18-49 and other key demographics, despite facing head-to-head competition from baseball's World Series.

Joining "Sunday Night Football" among the week's top 35 primetime shows on ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX in 18-49 were "The Voice," "The Blacklist," "Chicago Fire," "Marry Me" and "Law & Order: SVU" (excluding sports pre- and post-game shows). According to "live plus same day" viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research, NBC averaged a 2.3 rating, 7 share in adults 18-49 and 7.8 million viewers overall for the Oct. 20-26 week.

In women 18-34, NBC won the week among the Big 4 networks with an average 1.8 rating.

"Sunday Night Football" was the week's #1 primetime telecast on the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49, adults 18-34, men 18-34, women 18-49 and teens 12-17 and tied for #1 in adults and men 25-54 and women 18-34.

Note that CBS was boosted this week by Thursday NFL football, which itself was boosted by NFL Network viewership (1.3 rating in 18-49, 3.1 million viewers overall Thursday night) that was added into CBS's averages.

Joining "SNF" among the week's top 35 programs in adults 18-49 on the Big 4 are Monday's "The Voice" (tied for #4), Tuesday's "Voice" (tied for #8), Monday's "The Blacklist" (tied for #16), Tuesday's "Chicago Fire" (tied for #29) , Tuesday's "Marry Me" (tied for #29) and Wednesday's "Law & Order: SVU" (tied for #35) . Rankings exclude sports pre- and post-game shows.

For the season, NBC ranks #1 among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 and is also #1 or tied for #1 among those networks in adults, men and women 18-34; men and women 18-49; and adults and women 25-54.

In total viewers, NBC is #2 for the season, up 1% versus last season to 9.8 million viewers from 9.7 million, for NBC's highest average at this point in the season in eight years (since averaging 10.2 million through five weeks in 2006).
