NBC's MEET THE PRESS is #1 Across the Board, Wins Quarter for First Time Since 2012

MEET THE PRESS was the #1 most-watched Sunday show for the first quarter of 2017, winning across the board for the first time in more than four years (since 3Q'2012), according to Nielsen data. Averaging 4.043 million total viewers, MTP was the only Sunday show to surpass the four million mark, leading CBS' "Face the Nation" by six percent (+231,000) and ABC's "This Week" by +565,000 (+16 percent).

1.214 million viewers in the key demo most valued by news advertisers tuned into MTP on average this past quarter. The broadcast again outperformed the competition, delivering +30 percent (+282,000) more than CBS and +25 percent (+246,000) more than ABC. MTP was the only Sunday show to average more than one million A25-54 viewers, winning its fifth straight quarter in the key demo.

MTP delivered its biggest quarter audiences in eight years (since 1Q'2009). Assessed against its competition, MTP grew the most across the board compared to last quarter (4Q'2016), gaining nine percent in total viewers and eight percent in the key demo. Compared to the same quarter last year (1Q'2016), MTP was the only Sunday show to grow across the board, increasing five percent in total viewers and six percent in the key demo.
