NBC's Coverage of Gymnastics Olympic Trials is #1 Show of the Night

NBC wins Sunday among the Big 4 networks in every key demo, giving the network 18-49 wins among those nets on six of seven nights for the primetime week of July 4-10.

"U.S. Olympic Trials: Gymnastics" (2.4/9 in 18-49, 8.3 million viewers overall from 8:30-11 p.m. ET): Ranks as the #1 telecast of the night on the Big 4 in adults 18-49 and total viewers and wins the time period among those networks in every key measure.

Grows +85% versus NBC's prior gymnastics coverage in this time period two weeks earlier (2.4 vs. 1.3 on June 26) and +2.9 million persons or +54% in total viewers (8.322 million vs. 5.395 million). Grows by +42% from its first half-hour to its last in 18-49 rating (1.9 to 2.7) and by +34% or 2.3 million persons in total viewers (6.9 million to 9.2 million).

Note that the "U.S. Olympic Trials" coverage extended to 11:15 p.m. ET, though these averages cover the 8:30-11 p.m. time period.

"U.S. Olympic Trials: Track & Field" (1.1/5 in 18-49, 4.9 million viewers overall from 7-8:30 p.m. ET): Increases +38% versus the prior week's Olympic Trials coverage in the 7-9 p.m. time period in 18-49 (1.1 vs. 0.8 for Swimming and Track & Field) and +23% in total viewers (4.909 million vs. 3.980 million).

Ranks #1 among the Big 4 networks in the time slot in adults 18-49 and grows steadily throughout the 90-minute time period, with this track in 18-49: 0.9, 1.1, 1.5. Increases by +67% from its first half-hour to its third in 18-49 rating (0.9 to 1.5) and by +51% or 2.1 million persons in total viewers (4.1 million to 6.2 million).
