NBC Wins Wednesday with AMERICA'S GOT TALENT at No. 1 for Night

NBC is currently #1 for the night in 18-49 and total viewers and is winning 6 of 6 half-hours in total viewers, pending updates. Note that NBC carried NFL Preseason football in the Washington, D.C. and Tampa markets.

"America's Got Talent" (2.1/8 in 18-49, 10.8 million viewers overall from 9-10 p.m. ET): Is currently up +24% vs. the same night last year in 18-49 (2.1 vs. 1.7 from 8-9 p.m. on Sept. 2, 2015) and up +16% in total viewers (10.765 million vs. 9.294 million), pending updates.

Is currently matching its highest Wednesday rating since July 20 (2.3) and is delivering its most-watched Wednesday episode since that same date (10.780 million).

Week to week is currently retaining 100% in 18-49 (2.1 vs. 2.1) and is up +1% in total viewers (10.765 million vs. 10.671 million).

Is the #1 show of the night in 18-49, total viewers and most other key categories.

Currently is equaling the highest rating for an "AGT" results show, excluding finales, since July 30, 2014 (2.2).

Will add substantial viewership via time-shifting and VOD - Wednesday's "America's Got Talent" has increased by +34% this summer in 18-49 rating (from a 2.16 to a 2.89) and 2.4 million viewers overall (10.7 million to 13.1 million) going from L+SD to L+7.

Pending updates, is up week to week by +9% in 18-49 (1.2 vs. 1.1) and +5% in total viewers (5.801 million vs. 5.516 million).

Will grow substantially via time-shifting and VOD: last week's "Night Shift" grew by +33% in 18-49 (1.07 to 1.42) and more than +1.5 million viewers overall (5.5 million to 7.1 million) going from L+SD to L+3, for the biggest total-viewer lift of the night on the Big 4 networks. The L+3 increases of 0.35 of a point in 18-49 and 1.5 million viewers were season highs for "Night Shift."

An encore recap telecast of "America's Got Talent" (1.3/5 in 18-49, 7.0 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET): Is currently beating an original "Big Brother" head to head in total viewers (6.959 million vs. 6.197 million).

Is currently the #2 most-watched show of the night in total viewers on the Big 4 nets, behind only the original "Talent" at 9 p.m.

In Late-Night Metered Markets Wednesday Night: Last night, in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets metered by Nielsen Media Research: Jimmy Fallon (0.8) beat the combined 0.7 rating of Kimmel (0.4) and Colbert (0.3).

Seth Meyers (0.4) tied Kimmel and beat Colbert, despite starting an hour later.

Carson Daly's encore (0.2) tied originals of NIGHTLINE (0.2) and Corden (0.2), despite starting an hour later.

Fallon's guests Wednesday night were David Spade; from "Stranger Things," Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo and Caleb McLaughlin; and musical guest Tove Lo.

Meyers' guests were Hoda Kotb, Pedro Pascal and Tahereh Mafi.

Daly's guest were Jonah Ray, White Mystery and Jay Roach

In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.3/6; "Late Show with Stephen Colbert," 1.6/4; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.5/4.

In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.8/4; "Late Show," 0.3/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/2.

From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.0/4 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.1/4 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (0.9/3). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.4/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/1).

At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households and a 0.2/3 in adults 18-49 with an encore in the 25 markets with local people meters.
