NBC will present the special "All Together Now: A Celebration of Service," in an event that honors the importance of American service and volunteerism and also will salute President George H. W. Bush for his leadership in public service, on Monday, March 28 (8-9 p.m. ET). The star-studded event will bring together all of the living former presidents at a public celebration for the first time since President Barack Obama took office.

The gala, sponsored by Points of Light Institute, will spotlight President Bush's legacy and the vital role that voluntary service plays in overcoming the challenges currently confronting the United States and its families and communities. President and Mrs. George W. Bush, President Jimmy and Mrs. Carter, and President Bill Clinton will join a wide array of musicians and entertainers at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., on March 21.

The special will be produced by The Stevens Company, with George Stevens Jr. and Michael Stevens as the executive producers. The pair also produced "The Kennedy Center Honors" and "We Are One," the 2009 concert at the Lincoln Memorial. Between both men, they have been recognized with 17 Emmy Awards and more than 35 nominations.

President Clinton is the event's honorary co-chair and will join his fellow presidents in celebrating the essential role of service and volunteerism in America's future. President Obama, who will be in South America at the time of the event, will participate through his narration of an introductory short film on the history and value of service in the country.

Rob Mathes ("We Are One," "The Kennedy Center Honors") will be the music director who will assemble America's "best of the best" band.

In addition to the NBC broadcast, the concert will be filmed for an All-Star DVD.

The Points of Light Institute, the country's largest volunteer and civic engagement organization, is the beneficiary of the evening's proceeds as the event's organizer.
