NBC News COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF FORUM Seen by Nearly 15 Million Viewers

The NBC News Commander-in-Chief Forum drew a total of 14.7 million viewers on NBC and MSNBC, more than any broadcast network primary debate of this election cycle.

According to Nielsen Fast National data, the one-hour program averaged 4.0 million viewers A25-54 (3.3 rating) and 3.0 million viewers A18-49 (2.4 rating) on the NBC and MSNBC simulcast. The total Forum rating represents the NBC primetime airing (8 p.m. ET/PT), the 5 p.m. PT live airing on a selection of West Coast NBC affiliates, and the 8 p.m. ET MSNBC LIVE airing.

The first joint event of the general election featuring presidential nominees Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, moderated by Matt Lauer, was #1 in network primetime on Wednesday among total viewers and all key demos.

Of the total Forum audience, over 3.43 million viewers watched live on MSNBC, including 856,000 viewers A25-54.

The NBC News Commander-in-Chief Forum, co-hosted by the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America, was held at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum in New York City.
