Minnelli Comments on 6/30 HSN Debut

Liza Minnelli made her debut on HSN on Wednesday, June 30 to kick off the network's anniversary. Before her appearance Liza remarked:

"My life has provided me the ability to amass a wonderful wardrobe designed by fashion's brightest stars. I am excited to work with HSN in launching The Liza Collection and to have the opportunity to share my favorite looks with millions of women who want to look fabulous and feel their very best."

The collection was a first for Liza within the fashion category and brought to life some of her most recognized looks, including sequined separates and signature flowy pants. Jewelry inspired from some of Liza's most treasured pieces were pulled straight from her jewelry box including necklaces, bracelets, rings and earrings.

Lynne Ronon, Executive Vice President of Merchandising, HSN said in a statement announcing The Liza Collection, "We are honored to offer our customers this exclusive fashion collection from Liza Minnelli. Partnering with such a renowned star reinforces HSN's unique ability to effortlessly bridge the worlds of fashion and entertainment. As one of the most celebrated entertainers today, I am confident Liza will connect directly with HSN customers in marrying her iconic style with their own."

3) The Liza Collection Sequin Jacket and Tank Set

The network fielded a large number of callers who wanted to speak with their idol, many of them telling her they had been long-time fans and were thrilled to own something that Liza herself had designed. Following her appearance Associated Press said, "With velveteen and sequined clothes, Liza Minnelli has brought some glamour to the Home Shopping Network," and Entertainment Weekly.com said, "Are you loving Liza Minnelli as much as I am these days?"

Following her appearance on HSN Liza flew to Atlanta where she will perform at the Chastain Park Amphitheatre with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra on Friday, July 2.
