The series, based on the novel by King, tells the tale of "residents in the Community as they deal with the postapocalyptic conditions while searching for answers as to what the barrier is, where it came from and when -- and if -- it will go away." Joe soon learns that he has been separated from his parents who are on the other side of the dome.

Under the Dome will be produced by CBS Television Studios along with Steven Spielberg's Amblin Television. Neal Baer (A GIFTED MAN, LAW & ORDER: SVU), King, Justin Falvey, Darryl Frank, Stacey Snider and Brian K. Vaughan (Y: THE LAST MAN, LOST) will serve as executive producers. Niels Arden Oplev, the director of the original THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATOO, will helm the first episode.

UNDER THE DOME will premiere on Monday, June 24 at 10 p.m.

Vogel recently wrapped shooting on A&E's Psycho prequel series BATES MOTEL. He has also appeared in THE HELP, POSEIDON, and 2003's THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE.
