Acclaimed actor Michael Fassbender has officially signed on to lend his voice for the upcoming Formula One racing documentary, 1. The Hollywood Reporter first broke the news  this evening.

The film, produced by Exclusive Media, their internal documentary studio Spitfire Pictures, Flat-Out Films and Diamond Docs, will feature brand-new footage, and exclusive interviews with world champion Formula One racers. Paul Crowder is set to direct.

“We are honored that Michael has agreed to lend his voice to our film. He is one of the most talented actors in the world today as well as being a Formula 1 fan. His charismatic and daring approach to acting lends itself perfectly to our story about a generation of risk takers in a glamorous and dangerous sport. We couldn’t be more excited,” Exclusive Media co-chairman Nigel Sinclair and Michael Shevloff said.

Michael Fassbender is a brilliant and fearless actor who will bring all the passion and excitement of our action documentary to life," said Crowder. "There is truly no better voice to tell this story."

Fassbender is best known for his roles in PROMETHEUS, SHAME, and X-MEN: FIRST CLASS.
