In a new interview with Bustle.com, Max Adler shares details on what's ahead for his character, Dave Karofsky on the sixth and final season of GLEE.

"I never saw it coming," says the actor on the surprise call he received from Ryan Murphy asking him to return to the show.

Regarding rumors that his character, a former football star and bully will now begin a new relationship with Darren Criss' newly-single Blaine, the actor shared, "he has some scenes with both Kurt and Blaine, but I can't tell you what happens in those scenes. You'll have to watch to see what goes down."

He continued, "Beyond whatever happens in the relationship territory I think the important thing to focus on is that Karofsky is alive and he's well and he came out on the other side of his suicide attempt and whatever he's doing, he's doing it. You know, he's living," He adds, "He's having adventures, experiences, he's meeting people, he's out there and I think that is what I would want people to take away and have resonate with them no matter who he's with or holds hands with or kisses at the end of the day."

Adler also shares that he is thrilled his character's storyline will see closure by the end of the final season. "There were so many questions that I wanted to know about him and so that's what I'm most excited for that now we get to share with the audience what he's been up to and how he is and where his mental state is."
