Matt Lauria (Friday Night Lights) will return to DirecTV to co-star alongside Frank Grillo in the network's upcoming drama NAVY ST.

For the original news, head on over to Deadline.

NAVY ST. centers on a mixed martial arts gym in Venice, California. The gym is run by Alvey Henderson (Frank Grillo), "a former fighter whose drug addiction prevented him from making it big".

Lauria will play 'Ryan Revis', a UFC light heavyweight champion who gets out of prison and comes back to the gym that made him a star.

Also in the cast is Nick Jonas, who will star as Nate Henderson, Alvey's son and the apple of his eye. Nate lives with his older, addict brother Jay (Jonathan Tucker). Kiele Sanchez will star as Lisa Prince, Alvey's girlfriend.

The drama was created by Byron Balasco and is set to begin production in May 2014 in Los Angeles, aiming for a fall debut.

Laura's other TV credits include Parenthood, Person of Interest, CSI, Burn Notice, The Chicago Code, Friday Night Lights, The Forgotten, Lipstick Jungle, Law & Order: CI, 30 Rock and more.
