Last night's episode of "Top Chef Estrellas" was the first time two teams faced each other to break last week's tie and determine which would be eliminated. In only 30 minutes, the "Purple Team" featuring contestants Gabriel Coronel and Kimberly Dos Ramos battled the "Grey Team" made up of Sissy Fleitas and Maripily Rivera, who were forced to put their differences aside and work together to raisie funds for their charities.

Maripily and Sissi (Grey Team) prepared scallops in a truffle oil with potatoes, asparagus and a tomato and avocado salad, while Gabriel and Kimberly (Purple Team) prepared marinara pasta with white wine. After Chef Ramiro voted for the Grey Team and Chef Lorena for the Purple Team, it was Chef Jaime who broke the tie, voting for the Grey Team, unexpectedly leaving Maripily and Sissi out of the culinary competition.

The evening reached its most heated point when Maripily expressed her frustration with the competition and decided she would leave to "attend to her other commitments." Sissi, on the other hand, caught everyone unguarded when she removed her Chef uniform and revealed she was only wearing a sexy black bikini under it. Adding to the surprising events of the night, Maripily returned after taking some time to reflect on the huge commitment she had towards her colleagues, deciding to continue through the end, despite her personal differences with Sissi.

The Elimination Challenge featured telenovela star and winner of the first season of "Top Chef Estrellas," David Chocarro as special guest. In his honor, the test consisted of preparing different cuts of meat in a dish that delighted both him and the judges. This individual test would determine who was to be the third eliminated person of the night. In just an hour, and with help from the six Sous Chefs, the four remaining contestants had to cook a different cut each.

In general, everyone's dish received very positive feedback from the Chefs - particularly Judith Grace's "arrachera steak" - even though some details were missing, as in Gabriela Vergara's case, who ran out of time to finish her dish's presentation. In the end, Kimberly was eliminated and expressed how much she enjoyed and learned from the experience, and was thrilled to have been among the last four contestants. Gabriel made such a good impression with his "grilled rib eye and mushroom risotto" that he was finally able to collect $5,000 for his charity, "Amigos for Kids," which helps children in need.

The culinary skill of "Top Chef Estrellas" has increased exponentially. Now the three semifinalists will have to bring everything they've got to win the "Top Chef" title and the monetary prize for their charity during the Semifinals, next Sunday at 7pm/6c.

Prior to the much-anticipated semifinal, "Suelta La Sopa Extra" will present a recap of the second season of "Top Chef Estrellas," as semifinalists Gabriel Coronel, Judith Grace and Gabriela Vergara get ready to recreate the dishes prepared by the celebrity chefs.
