MTV's SLEDNECKS to Premiere 10/30

MTV is heading to Alaska with new series "Slednecks" premiering on Thursday, October 30 at 10:00 P.M. ET/PT with an extended 90-minute special to kick off the season. The weekly half-hour comedic docu-series follows a close group of adventurous friends living in rural Wasilla, Alaska. The 18-episode series will air all-new back-to-back episodes every Thursday starting at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT. To view the series trailer click here.

Polar Bear plunges, airboating on ice, glacier parties, river wakeboarding, and human catapulting are just some of the action-packed adventures these 'Slednecks' get into, while also navigating dramatic friendships and relationships in the prime of their lives. With mountains and rivers as their playground, these friends make the most of what they have while always having a blast.

"There have been plenty of shows about Alaska but nothing about life as a Millennial in Alaska. These kids live in extreme conditions, have this beautiful place as their playground, and they take full advantage of it," said Lauren Dolgen Head of West Coast Reality Programming, EVP Series Development. "It's an amazing opportunity to show viewers a world they haven't seen through the eyes of this tight knit group of friends and their crazy adventures."

Meet the Group of Friends
Jackie, 22
Jackie is an Inupiat Eskimo from Kotzebue, Alaska which is north of the Arctic Circle. This Alaskan native is proud of her heritage whether it's sharing traditions with her friends, working in the mines or riding dirt bikes, her genuine personality is always shining.

Trevor, 24
Trevor is a self-proclaimed 'Fungineer' who builds things out of random junk and in order to bring the 'fun' to the next level. He is the continual jokester, who never takes anything too seriously. Currently, Trevor works at the airboat shop with his best friend, Kelly, where the two can't seem to stay out of trouble.

Kelly, 22
Kelly is a local who continually finds ways to mess up his relationship with his on-again off-again girlfriend Sierra. If not in the dog house he can usually be found messing around with his best friend Trevor pushing airboats and snowmobiles to the limit or building ridiculous contraptions for his friends' entertainment.
Sierra, 22
Sierra is sassy and outspoken and where she goes drama follows. She has been in a tumultuous relationship with longtime love Kelly and the two can't seem to escape each other. One thing is certain though she can't help but get involved in everybody's business.
Amber, 22
Amber is not your typical Alaskan girl, she is bubbly, loud, and feminine. She recently moved to Wasilla from the "big city" of Anchorage, Alaska and lives with Jackie, Zeke and Trevor. Amber is a reliable friend and is great at dealing with conflict amongst their group.

Zeke, 22
Ever since he was a kid his mom called him "Adventure Zeke" and he has a reputation for being a "bad ass" and a "player." This adrenaline junkie can fix and ride almost anything and spends his free time mastering tricks wake boarding, ice driving, jumping snow machines, or ripping it up on a dirt bike.

Tosca, 22
Tosca is a carefree "tomboy" who is known for breaking hearts around town. This tattooed Alaskan fashionista is close with her protective military dad and is currently studying to become a mortician. She can also shoot skeet better than most of the guys around town.

Dylan, 22
Known as "El Tornado," Dylan continually dances for work and for laughs, but underneath his laid-back and fun attitude is a nice guy who proudly helps support his mom and younger siblings.
Big Mike, 24
Even at 6'5 and 300 lbs. Big Mike is a big teddy bear with a heart of gold. He is 'pure bred Alaskan' and as a good friend to most of the girls in the group, he always provides a good shoulder to lean on.

Hali, 22
Hali is the "straight shooter" of the crew and is known for her honesty and "tell it how it is" attitude. She is Sierra's best friend, and can't help but poke her nose in other people's business, which usually stirs up the pot.

Samantha, 19
Samantha is a self-assured single 19 year-old who loves attention. She currently works part time as house keeper to pay the bills and has been close friends with Zeke for years. Because she is one of the youngest, she is still finding her way within the group.

Building upon previous successes, MTV will pre-release the "Slednecks" pilot on the MTV App a week ahead of the premiere on October 23, 10:00 p.m. ET/7:00 p.m. PT. Throughout the week, fans can watch the premiere episode on the app on iOS, Android, XBOX One App and Xbox 360 for XBOX LIVE members in the U.S.
