MTV2's GUY CODE Returns with Record Ratings

MTV2's season three premiere of "Guy Code" shattered network records last night with a .5 rating among P12-34, becoming the highest rated and most watched original season premiere in network history; as well as becoming the most watched original series telecast with 323,000 P12-34 viewers. Among MTV2's core M12-34 demo, the debut also marks the highest rated original series telecast ever for the channel with a .8 rating and claimed the #2 spot in its time slot for original cable series premieres.

The "Guy Code" franchise has continued to build momentum with double digit growth, posting a +22% increase over the season two premiere and a +47% increase over the season one premiere. Last night, Guy Code season three brought in over half a million total viewers between its debut and first repeat airing at 12:30 a.m. ET/PT.

In addition, MTV2 announced its new six-part special series, "Mac Miller and the Most Dope Family," will premiere on Tuesday, February 26 at 11:30 p.m. ET/PT following "Guy Code" on MTV2. The series will chronicle the adventures of young music superstar Mac Miller while he records his next album Watching Movies with the Sound Off and lives the L.A. life with his four closest friends from back home in Pittsburgh: the business mastermind Quentin, the artistically gifted Jimmy, the fashion entrepreneur Peanut, and former NFL player turned bodyguard Big Dave.

In an all new episode of "Guy Code," airing Tuesday, January 22 at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT on MTV2, the cast will tackle the dos and don'ts of virginity, being gay, playing sick and celebrating your birthday, as well as comedic sketches on the much-dreaded #FriendZoneFace.

MTV2 targets young men with smart, funny and relevant content, including comedic, music and action-oriented original programming such as "Guy Code," "Mac Miller and The Most Dope Family," "Nitro Circus Live," "The DUB Magazine Project," 'Hip Hop Squares," the weekly hip hop show "The Week in Jams," and the return of "Nick Cannon Presents Wild 'N Out" in 2013.
