ELEMUNDO presents a special tribute to the Virgin of Guadalupe airing from Mexico City on Friday, December 11 at 11:35PM/10:35C, featuring Mexican singers Lucero and Pedro Fernández. In addition to performing the classic "Gema" together for the first time, the two superstars will join Kevin Ortiz, Ana Bárbara and the Adictiva Banda San José de Mesillas in singing the traditional "Mañanitas" to Mexico's patron saint. The special program, hosted by Pedro Fernández, will also include segments with TELEMUNDO's Jéssica Carrillo and Julio Vaqueiro from the network's Los Angeles affiliate, KVEA.

The evening will feature the first-ever duet by Mexican musical icons Lucero and Pedro Fernández of "Gema," the traditional bolero by Güicho Cisneros. Fernández revived the song as a hit few years ago, and it takes on special meaning as a tribute to the Virgin when performed at the cathedral built in her honor. "La Novia de América" [the Bride of America], Lucero, will also premiere a new song written especially for the occasion.

For 24 hours on this celebration, parishioners can view the image of the Virgin of Guadalupe live from the Basilica through the mobile application NOTICIAS TELEMUNDO.
