Lea DeLaria Moves Up to Series Regular on ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK

According to Deadline, Lea DeLaria has been promoted to series regular for the fourth season of Netflix's original prison dramedy ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK, on which she portrays 'Carrie "Big Boo" Black'.

DeLaria has appeared on Broadway in THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW and ON THE TOWN, the latter for which she earned a Drama Desk nomination. Among her off-Broadway credits are OUT OF ICELAND, LITTLE FISH, CINDERELLA, THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES and LI'L ABNER, as well as the US tour of CHICAGO.

This season, Piper, Red, Crazy Eyes, Taystee, Poussey, Sophia, Nicky, Daya, Gloria, Big Boo, Pennsatucky and all of Litchfield's ladies are back for more drama and laughter...as Alex makes her return and a new inmate, Stella (Ruby Rose) joins the gang.

The series has garnered more than 20 awards including three Emmy Awards, two SAG Awards, two AFI honors, three Critic's Choice Television Awards, one NAACP Image Award, one PGA Award, two GLAAD Media Awards, and is a recipient of a Peabody Award and a Television Critics' Association (TCA) Award.

ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK will launch its third season on the world's leading Internet TV network on Friday, June 12th. Seasons 1 and 2 are currently streaming exclusively on Netflix at netflix.com/OITNB.
