LATE SHOW WITH STEPHEN COLBERT Wins Late Night by Largest Advantage Since Premiere Week

THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT was the #1 show in late night for the ninth consecutive week, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending March 31. For the week, THE LATE SHOW averaged 2.99 million viewers, up +33% compared to the same week last year. THE LATE SHOW out-delivered "The Tonight Show" by +400,000 viewers, its largest margin since Stephen Colbert's premiere week in September 2015. This is the first time CBS has won nine straight weeks in late night since the weeks of Nov. 20, 2009 to Jan. 15, 2010.

In demographics, THE LATE SHOW averaged 0.8/04 in the key adults 25-54 demo, up +33% from a year ago and tying "The Tonight Show" for the first time ever. Among adults 18-49, THE LATE SHOW averaged 0.5/03, up +25% from a year ago and matching its closest competitive position (-0.1).

THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT, a production of The Late Show Inc., airs weeknights (11:35 PM-12:37 AM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Stephen Colbert, Chris Licht, Tom Purcell and Jon Stewart are the executive producers.
