The Kiss Kiss Cabaret announces its summer blockbuster "FilmStrips: An Evening of Cinematic Burlesque" on Fridays at 11 p.m. from June 7 through July 26 at the Greenhouse Theater Center, 2257 N. Lincoln Ave.

"FilmStrips" will offer all the tantalizing teases the Kiss Kiss Cabaret is famous for but with a cinematic twist to the striptease numbers. Hosted by one of the Flattery brothers, "FilmStrips" will also feature dancers from Indianapolis's popular burlesque troupe, PUR, performing their own cinematic stripteases. In addition the show will open with a new opening number created by choreographer, Amee Binder.

"The summer themed shows are always exciting for us," said producer Chris O. Biddle. "Last summer we visited the carnival with 'Hot Cha Cha!'. This summer, we're going to the movies! This is a great chance to see the sexiest movie characters strip down to their unmentionables and beyond! It's the perfect combination of cinema and burlesque!"

KKC is Chicago's only weekly burlesque/comedy performance presenting a crowd-pleasing, modern spin on the classic vaudeville show. The Kiss Kiss Cabaret features burlesque strip teases, bawdy comedy and inventive variety performers including jugglers, musicians and magicians. Every performance features a rotating cast of performers and is different each week.

The stars of the show are the "The Kiss Kiss Coquettes" which include Bella Ciao, Bella Canto, Deja Sue, Ella Rioux, Naughty Natanya, Stella Cheeks, Titi Touche and Vivi Valens. The Coquettes regularly perform in Chicago and around the world in shows such as "Plan 9 Burlesque", "Varietease Cabaret" and "The Belmont Burlesque Revue". The Coquettes also regularly perform at burlesque festivals around the country from Las Vegas to New York and everywhere in between.
