Kate Winslet's Son Wants Her to Make Broadway Debut & Become an EGOT Winner

Kate Winslet, currently nominated for an OSCAR as Best Actress for her role in the biopic STEVE JOBS, is the recipient of many prestigious honors, including Golden Globes, BAFTAs,SAG Awards, an Oscar for The Reader, an Emmy for Mildred Pierce, and a Grammy for her 2000 spoken word album Listen to the Storyteller.

In a new interview with Reuters, the talented actress revealed that her 12-year-old son Joe is urging her to take on the Great White Way so that she can earn a Tony Award and become a member of the esteemed club of EGOT winners. She shared that her son "is just obsessed with records" and adds, "So since he has learned about this EGOT thing, he's like, 'Mum you've gotta do it."

On a recent appearance on NBC's THE TONIGHT SHOW, Winslet and host Jimmy Fallon came up with the perfect Broadway show to get the actress a Tony to complete her awards collection. Check out the appearance below:

Winslet made her film debut in Heavenly Creatures (1994), for which she received praise. She garnered recognition for her supporting role in Sense and Sensibility (1995) before achieving global stardom with the epic romanceTitanic (1997), which was the highest-grossing film of all time at that point.[4] Winslet's performances in Iris (2001),Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004), Finding Neverland (2004), Little Children (2006), Revolutionary Road (2008), and Steve Jobs (2015) continued to draw praise from film critics. In 2008, the critic David Edelsteindescribed her as "the best English-speaking film actress of her generation".[5]

Winslet won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in The Reader (2008) and the Emmy Award for Best Actress in a Miniseries for playing the title role in Mildred Pierce (2011). Winslet's greatest commercial successes since Titanic include the romantic comedy The Holiday (2006), the animated film Flushed Away (2006), and the first two films of the Divergent series.
